We’re the Girls in Action of First Baptist Church, Sedalia Missouri. We made fleece tie blankets for the local Birthright organization. We got this idea from the story in our March 2010 unit about “Blankets of Hope.” We had a really good time collecting the fleece and tying the blankets. We made almost 20 blankets in just one hour! 

 

 

 

 

      
Hi! We’re the Girls in Action at Galatia Baptist Church in Galatia, North Carolina. Every year we sell hot dogs and sweets at Missions Fun Day. Last year we earned $700 for missions!
 
 











We’re the GAs of Plantersville Baptist Church in Plantersville, Alabama. We had a bake sale to earn money for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering®. We earned $510.50! That is over half of our church goal!

 

 

 

 

We’re the GAs of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama. We handed out Christmas treats to our homebound church members.

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Hi! We are the Girls in Action of Mountain Rest Baptist Church in Mountain Rest, South Carolina. We had a spaghetti dinner, a silent auction, and a toy drive for “Our Daily Rest”—a homeless shelter in our county. We earned $2,500, plus a big box of toys!

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
We are the fourth- through sixth-grade GAs of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina. For Children’s Ministry Day, we made pillows that say “Jesus Loves Me.” We donated these pillows to the local battered women’s shelter to give to children that visit.
 

 

 

 

 

 

The GAs of Tampa Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, enjoyed learning about First Hurst Church and their ministry to the Songhai people of West Africa. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The GAs of Marion First Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama, held our second annual WorldCraftssm dinner in January. We helped serve dishes from around the world and then heard speakers who shared about mission trips they’ve taken. We invited our guests to browse the WorldCrafts catalog and purchase items that will help more than 60 groups of men and women who live in poverty around the world. We collected over $300 for these people groups! 

 

 

 

 

The Girls in Action from Hamlin Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, earned $313 for Soles 4 Christ. We’ll send this money to our missionaries in Lesotho, Africa. We used the recipe for hot chocolate in the February 2010 issue of GA World.

 

 

 

 
 

The GAs of Kedron Baptist Church in Gladys, Virginia, participated in Children’s Ministry Daytm 2010. We had a Soup & Sandwich Supper to earn money for the Campbell County Habitat for Humanity. We served as waitresses and collected $606!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 
Hi! We’re the GAs of First Baptist Church in Dickson, Tennessee. We are in grades 4 through 6. We made a prayer blanket for our friend who is paralyzed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Hi! We’re the Girls in Action from Hillcrest Baptist Church in York, South Carolina. We learned in January about First Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas. This church sends missions groups to West Africa, to bring the good news to the Songhai people of Niger.


We sent blank cassette tapes to First Hurst. First Hurst will translate the good news into the Songhai language, and take these tapes to the Songhai people. We put the tapes in bags that we decorated.

 

 

 
 

We’re the GAs of First Baptist Church in Rusk, Texas. Here we are having a Samar Tea. We also made fruit baskets for ten shut-in members of our church. We celebrated Christmas this year with a birthday party for Jesus!

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are the GAs of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church in Oxford, North Carolina. We had fun decorating bags to mail cassette tapes to First Church in Texas for the Songhai people. We put a small cross in each bag. Then we prayed and asked God to bless the Songhai people who will receive the tapes.

 

 

 

 

 
 

The GAs of Enterprise Baptist Church in Enterprise, Mississippi, joined with the GAs of Stonewall Baptist Church in Stonewall, Mississippi, for Children’s Ministry Day on Saturday, February 20th. We cleaned up as we went throughout the town!

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

Hi! We’re the GAs from Calvary Baptist Church (Pricedale) in Summit, Mississippi. We prepared care packages for BSU students at Southwest Community College in Summit, Mississippi. We hope these will encourage them during semester finals.

 

 

 

 

 
 


 

Hi! We’re the Girls in Action® of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee. We went shopping for Operation Christmas Child. We filled 11 shoe boxes!

 

 

 

 
 
 

We’re the GAs from Laura Chapel Baptist Church and Patterson Baptist Church in Patterson, Georgia. We collected food for a missions kitchen in Hortense. This kitchen provides food and clothing for families in need.

 

 

 

 

 
 

We’re the 4th–6th-grade GAs from First Baptist Church in Portland, Tennessee. We made posters for our adult Sunday School classes. We asked members to put loose change in plastic Easter eggs we passed out. We collected over $50! We dubbed our project “Our EGGciting Project.” We gave this money to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering®.

 

 

 

 

 
 

We are the GAs of Stockton First Baptist Church in Stockton, Alabama. We worked together to make 150 beaded cross necklaces. These necklaces will be taken by a local missions group to an orphanage in Guatemala.

 

 

 

 



We’re the GAs of Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. We collected packages of new socks and underwear for Grand Oaks Mission. 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hi there! We are the Girls in Action® of Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. We stuffed animals and gave them to our local fire department. The firefighters will give these toys to displaced children. We also filled activity bags for children in our local hospital.
 

 

 

 

 

We are the GAs of First Baptist Church in Portland, Tennessee. We and the RAs got to meet “Annie Armstrong” (Peggy Janowski). She told us about herself and her friend Lottie Moon.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hi! We’re the GAs of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi. This fall we used some of the offering from Vacation Bible School to buy supplies. We sent these to a church member who is serving overseas in the Army. We sorted the supplies, packed the boxes, and filled out the forms required to mail them.
 

 

 

 

 

We are the GAs of Good Hope Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Mississippi. We took thank-you cakes to local police and fire departments.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are the GAs of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Here we are at our recognition party in May. We received badges that we’d earned during the year. 
 
 
















We are the GAs of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Heflin, Alabama. For Christmas in August we collected toiletry and hygiene products for our local service center. These will be given to people in need.

 



Hi! We’re the GAs from Pole Creek Baptist Church in Candler, North Carolina. We had a Hawaiian “Aloha Party” for back to school. We also collected school supplies for Christmas in August 2009. We sent the supplies to a missionary in Shelby, North Carolina.
 
 
 










We’re the GAs of Chapel Grove Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina. We collected 343 pairs of shoes. We mailed them to Soles 4 Souls, to provide shoes for people around the world who don’t have shoes.
