We’re the Girls in Action of First Baptist Church, Sedalia Missouri. We made fleece tie blankets for the local Birthright organization. We got this idea from the story in our March 2010 unit about “Blankets of Hope.” We had a really good time collecting the fleece and tying the blankets. We made almost 20 blankets in just one hour!
Hi! We’re the Girls in Action at Galatia Baptist Church in Galatia, North Carolina. Every year we sell hot dogs and sweets at Missions Fun Day. Last year we earned $700 for missions! We’re the GAs of Plantersville Baptist Church in Plantersville, Alabama. We had a bake sale to earn money for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering®. We earned $510.50! That is over half of our church goal!
We are the fourth- through sixth-grade GAs of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina. For Children’s Ministry Day, we made pillows that say “Jesus Loves Me.” We donated these pillows to the local battered women’s shelter to give to children that visit.
Hi! We’re the GAs of First Baptist Church in Dickson, Tennessee. We are in grades 4 through 6. We made a prayer blanket for our friend who is paralyzed.
We sent blank cassette tapes to First Hurst. First Hurst will translate the good news into the Songhai language, and take these tapes to the Songhai people. We put the tapes in bags that we decorated.
We’re the GAs of Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. We collected packages of new socks and underwear for Grand Oaks Mission.
Hi there! We are the Girls in Action® of Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. We stuffed animals and gave them to our local fire department. The firefighters will give these toys to displaced children. We also filled activity bags for children in our local hospital.
We are the GAs of First Baptist Church in Portland, Tennessee. We and the RAs got to meet “Annie Armstrong” (Peggy Janowski). She told us about herself and her friend Lottie Moon.
Hi! We’re the GAs of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church in Columbus, Mississippi. This fall we used some of the offering from Vacation Bible School to buy supplies. We sent these to a church member who is serving overseas in the Army. We sorted the supplies, packed the boxes, and filled out the forms required to mail them.
We are the GAs of Good Hope Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Mississippi. We took thank-you cakes to local police and fire departments.
We are the GAs of First Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Here we are at our recognition party in May. We received badges that we’d earned during the year. We are the GAs of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Heflin, Alabama. For Christmas in August we collected toiletry and hygiene products for our local service center. These will be given to people in need. Hi! We’re the GAs from Pole Creek Baptist Church in Candler, North Carolina. We had a Hawaiian “Aloha Party” for back to school. We also collected school supplies for Christmas in August 2009. We sent the supplies to a missionary in Shelby, North Carolina. We’re the GAs of Chapel Grove Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina. We collected 343 pairs of shoes. We mailed them to Soles 4 Souls, to provide shoes for people around the world who don’t have shoes.
